Mike joined the Library staff in 1999 after previous experience on the computer cataloguing project at Trinity College, Bristol, and with the specialist Methodist collection at the New Room, Bristol. Initially responsible for retrospective cataloguing he was appointed Assistant Librarian in 2002. He read theology and history at university and has a continuing interest in church history.

He became Librarian in September 2007.
