Revd Peter Phillips Peter was ordained in the Church in Wales and is currently a priest in the Anglican Diocese of Bristol. He came to Wesley College as a MA student and stayed on to become Chaplain. His first degree is in English, which he subsequently taught, mainly in Yorkshire. After fourteen years as Deputy Head of an inner city comprehensive school in South Wales he entered full time ministry as a chaplain in the Prison Service. He worked extensively with prisoners who were serving long sentences and trained new chaplains in working with sex offenders. He assisted in the establishment of a chaplaincy service for prisons in Armenia and has been a locum priest in the Diocese of Virginia. Most recently he covered a long vacancy in the Parish of Whitchurch in south Bristol. He is married to Judith, also an Anglican priest, who is the coordinating chaplain at a women's prison. They are both enthusiastic choral singers.
