 Local Information

The beautiful city of Bristol is well worth a visit, so if you are planning a stay at the College, be sure to take in the sights!

Situated in the South West of England, Bristol has a long history as one of England’s chief cities with a rich heritage, including a wealth of places to visit. Its maritime history in particular has been the inspiration for many modern attractions, and the revitalisation of the former docks provides a pleasant environment for leisure with enjoyable state-of-the-art educational experiences in history, science and wildlife.

Bristol celebrates a wide range of cultural activities including theatres, concert halls, cinemas, galleries, cafes, clubs and a zoo. It is easy to escape into the surrounding countryside with its many opportunities for sport and recreation. The Cotswolds to the North, the Mendips to the South, the coast to the West (with Wales beyond) and Bath and Wiltshire to the East make Bristol an attractive setting for the College.

Bristol is also a world Methodist historical site with John Wesley’s Chapel, the oldest Methodist Church in the world, and the Charles Wesley House and Heritage Centre, situated in the City.

With major road, rail and airport links, the College is easily accessible. A map and directions may be found by using the "Directions to College" menu on the left.
